W. Stewart MacNutt Memorial Lecture: Dr. Herb Wylie

The annual W. Stewart MacNutt Memorial Lecture honours the late historian, professor and humanitarian for his many contributions to UNB and to the development of Atlantic Canadian history as a field of study. Acadia University Professor, Dr. Herb Wyile, will give the 2011-2012 W. Stewart MacNutt Memorial Lecture at UNB Fredericton on October 26, 2011.

Atlantic Canada Studies Seminar Series: Dr. Michael Hann

Faculty, students and staff are invited to attend the first presentation in the 2011-2012 Atlantic Canada Studies Seminar Series.

Dr. Michael Haan, associate professor and Canada Research Chair in population and social policy, will present "The Demography of Atlantic Canada: Opportunities and Challenges", Tuesday Oct. 25, at 7 p.m. in room 28 Tilley Hall.

Book launch and lecture by David Wilson

The Gorsebrook Research Institute for Atlantic Canada Studies and the Irish Studies Programme at Saint Mary's University are very pleased to present a lecture and a book launch by distinguished University of Toronto professor of history David Wilson. Dr Wilson will be releasing the much-anticipated second volume of his study of Thomas D'Arcy McGee.
